Contest Rules and Regulations
“Win a bike with Lucilab! Enter for your chance to win a hybrid bike
valued at $392!”

Article 1 — Organizer

The Win a bike with Lucilab! Enter for your chance to win a hybrid bike valued at $392!” contest (hereinafter the “Contest”) is organized by Lucilab, a company duly incorporated and registered under the laws of Quebec, having its head office at 160 St-Viateur E, Montréal, QC  H2T 1A8 (hereinafter the “Organizer”).

 Article 2 — Contest dates

The Contest begins on June 1, 2024, at 9 a.m. and ends on June 4, 2024, at 6 p.m. (hereinafter the “Contest Period”).

Article 3 — Prize

The prize to be won in the Contest (hereinafter the “Prize”) is a bicycle valued at approximately three hundred and ninety-two dollars ($392) (excluding applicable taxes). The prize is not transferable or convertible to cash.

Article 4 — How to enter

Anyone interested in participating in the Contest must:

  • Visit the Lucilab booth at the “La Grande Fête des pompiers de Laval” event on the Collège Montmorency outdoor site during the contest period.
  • Scan the QR code that redirects to the official contest registration page: luciapp.ca/en/concoursvelo ;.
  • Create an account in the Luci program with the following information: first and last name, email address, age, gender, how you heard about the Luci platform, and accept the privacy policies.

Article 5 — Limits of participation

Only one (1) entry per person is permitted for the Contest.

Article 6 — Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the Contest, participants must:

  • Be eighteen (18) years of age or older on the date of entry in the Contest.
  • Be residents of Quebec.

Article 7 — Selection of winner

The Contest winner will be randomly drawn from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place within five (5) business days following the end of the Contest Period at the offices of the Organizer.

Article 8 — Deadline for claiming prize

The Contest winner will be contacted by email within five (5) days of the draw. The prize must be claimed within thirty (30) days of receipt of the notification email. If the winner fails to claim the prize within the allotted time, he/she will be disqualified and a new draw will be held to determine a new winner.

Article 9 — Prize pick-up

The winner must claim his/her prize at the Organizer’s offices located at 160 St-Viateur E, Montréal, QC  H2T 1A8.

Article 10 — Participation conditions

By entering the Contest, participants agree to abide by the terms of these rules and regulations (the “Rules and Regulations”). Full contest rules and regulations are available at lucilab.ca/en/rules. Participants also agree to hold harmless the Organizer, its respective directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all damage, loss or injury of any kind arising from their participation in the Contest or use of the Prize.

Article 11 — Use of personal information

By entering the Contest, participants agree to sign up for the Organizer’s newsletter. The Organizer will use participants’ personal information solely for this purpose. The Organizer will not disclose participants’ personal information to third parties, except as required by law or with the participant’s express consent.

Article 12 — Limitation of liability

In no event shall the Released Parties be liable for:

  • Any damage or loss of any kind arising from participation in the Contest or use of the Prize including, but not limited to, personal injury, material or property damage, economic loss, loss of profits or consequential damages.
  • Any interruption or failure in the operation of any computer network, software or communication line, hardware or software or other system including, but not limited to, equipment failure, software failure, data transmission errors, Internet access problems or service interruptions.
  • Any damage or loss of any kind caused by any virus, bug, fraud, theft, destruction or alteration, unauthorized intervention, error or omission, communications problem, failure or delay in operation of any element of the Contest resulting from causes beyond the control of the Released Parties, including, but not limited to, third party failures, force majeure events, strikes, lockouts or other labour unrest.
  • Any injury, death or damage to property or personal injury resulting from any cause whatsoever, including, but not limited to, use of the Prize, participation in the Contest or any other activity related to the Contest.
  • The Released Parties shall not be liable for the acts or omissions of third parties.
  • In no event shall the total liability of the Released Parties arising out of the Contest or the use of the Prize exceed the retail price of the Prize.
  • Participants agree that the above limitation of liability is reasonable and is an essential condition of their participation in the Contest.
  • By entering the Contest, participants agree to waive any right of recourse against the Released Parties for any damage or loss of any kind arising from their participation in the Contest or use of the Prize.

Article 13 — General provisions

The Organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the Contest at any time, with or without notice, for any reason deemed necessary by the Organizer. In such a case, participants will not be entitled to any compensation.

These Rules and Regulations shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the province of Quebec. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Contest shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the province of Quebec.

If any provision of these Regulations is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed omitted from the Regulations and the remaining provisions of the Regulations shall remain in full force and effect.

These Rules and Regulations constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the Contest and supersede all prior agreements or understandings, written or oral, regarding the subject matter of these Rules and Regulations.
